Jordan is a small municipality with community population of 1,325 within the Central New York region. It is known as “An Erie Canal Village” based upon the historical architectural setting of its downtown Business District and its Erie Canal Parkway, which is located at the approximate midpoint of the historic Erie Canal between Albany and Buffalo. The Village and the community as a whole take great pride in maintaining its historical heritage through its limited available funding, financial contributions, donated supplies and voluntary labor.
